Narberth Borough Council voted unanimously to approve a contract with web firm Revise to redesign and host the borough website.
Kelsey Fisher, records clerk, explained staff's selection process and noted Revise does not use open-source software, offers custom (non-template) designs, includes a free redesign in year four of the contract, and typically delivers projects in 20'25 weeks depending on client responsiveness. Danny Callaway, Revise account executive, told council the company's focus is municipal websites and emphasized ease of navigation and editing for staff. He said Revise aims to produce a site that gives potential and current residents an accurate feel for life in Narberth and that the borough would not go live until staff sign off on the design.
Council members discussed calendar integration, document migration, police department pages, and accessibility. Staff said Revise can integrate SharePoint or host documents in an internal document center that is searchable; the vendor confirmed calendar features are subscribable. Council agreed staff would lead the project and one staff member would serve as council's primary contact; staff will present a timeline and a testing plan for council review during implementation.
The contract passed unanimously. Staff and Revise will schedule content migration and testing and return progress updates to council and the finance and administration committee as appropriate.
