The commission also authorized staff to submit an application under the U.S. DOT RAISE discretionary grant program for the Honeysuckle Road widening and realignment project (Resolution 2025‑27) and approved an agreement with Sage Metcalfield Recovery LLC to pursue a possible claim from a class action settlement against Mastercard and Visa (Resolution 2025‑22); the city manager said the city "may not qualify because we get a special utility rate, with them and but if we do, it could be, around $100,000 potentially."
Appointments and routine actions cleared the agenda: several members were appointed or reappointed to the Board of Zoning Adjustment and Historic Preservation Commission; the commission approved payment of December 2024 invoices totaling $21,100,219.66; and it approved bid awards and travel requests over the $30,000 threshold where required.
