The DRC member said the committee previously concluded alleys should have street lighting rather than building-mounted fixtures that residents could switch off; during a recent drive-through the member observed lights attached to buildings and asked staff to inspect the development and confirm compliance with the revised policy. Community development staff said they would check the site and return with findings.
The request was recorded as an action for staff follow-up; no formal vote or enforcement action was taken at the Jan. 15 meeting.
