The La Crosse County Board of Supervisors approved a proclamation Jan. 14 declaring January 2025 as La Crosse County Highway Safety and Transportation Month.
Deputy Administrator Copeland read the proclamation, which credited the county Highway Department’s 2024 work: replacement of 23 failing culverts, paving 14.8 miles of roadway and upgrading about 5,200 feet of flex‑beam guardrail while overseeing 280 miles of county highways, 157 miles of state trunk highways and county bridges and related facilities. "The ongoing efforts of the highway department ensure the safety and mobility of all who travel through La Crosse County," the proclamation read in part.
Supervisor Pogreba moved approval; Supervisor Ferry seconded. The board approved the proclamation by voice vote with no recorded opposition and the proclamation was entered into the record.
