Student council outlines Rebound Week, conference participation and finalist tours

Student representative Megan Wynne told the board the school will hold a Rebound Week at the end of the month with dress-up days, a teacher-versus-student basketball game, a pep rally and a dance planned for Feb. 1.
Wynne said the student council attended a Division I conference at the Capitol where members debated and voted on student-authored bills; some students plan to run for positions on the conference executive board. Wynne also organized student tours for two finalists for the executive director position and said participating students found the experience valuable.
Board members thanked Wynne and noted the educational value of the conference and the student-led tour. No board action was associated with the report.
