The consent agenda (review and pay approved bills; payroll ending Dec. 18 paid Dec. 25; payroll ending Jan. 1 paid Jan. 8) was approved on a motion from Commissioner Wenner, seconded by Commissioner McGowan; commissioners voted aye unanimously.
Other council actions recorded in the meeting minutes and approved by unanimous voice vote included: - Acceptance of the sheriff’s report, moved by Commissioner Clark and seconded by Commissioner Farmer. - Reinstatement of the county burn ban, moved by Commissioner Farmer and seconded by Commissioner Clark. - Appointment of Commissioner Clark as county judge pro tem for 2025, moved by Commissioner Farmer and seconded by Commissioner Wyndham. - Approval of elected officials’ bonds, moved by Commissioner Wenner and seconded by Commissioner McGowan. - Approval of January 2025 deputations, moved by Commissioner McGowan and seconded by Commissioner Farmer. - Approval to pay Komatsu Architecture’s courthouse construction administration invoice, moved by Commissioner Clark and seconded by Commissioner Wyndham. - Approval of a release agreement between Grand Prix Pipeline and Callahan County, moved by Commissioner Farmer and seconded by Commissioner Clark. County counsel (Jim Allison) had provided the agreement to the court for signature and to enable payment to the contractor that performed road repairs.
