Planning staff provided several informational updates at the Jan. 16 meeting about items coming to the commission and to the City Council in February.
Staff said the Planning Commission's next regular meeting on Feb. 6 is expected to include the 313 Swift Street project, described as teacher housing. Staff also said work is underway on an environmental impact report for 908 Ocean, and that a meeting on Feb. 20 is tentatively scheduled but still to be confirmed.
Staff advised commissioners that a legislative update related to the accessory dwelling unit (ADU) ordinances will go to City Council likely at its Feb. 11 meeting; staff noted the council had approved the ADU ordinance on second reading at its most recent council meeting. If the commission meets on Feb. 20, staff said the legislative update would be listed as an informational item so commissioners could ask questions, but staff did not expect a separate meeting solely for that update.
No subcommittee or advisory body reports were filed and no items were referred to future agendas at the Jan. 16 meeting.
