FY2014 Five-County Crownsville Project (Jail services) — Approved: Commissioners approved a grant letter of agreement and related subrecipient documents with the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency in the amount of $78,222 to support mental health services at the county detention center. Indemnity agreement with Level Green Landscape LLC — Approved: The board authorized Commissioner President Russell to sign an indemnity agreement allowing Level Green Landscape to install two 500-gallon above-ground fuel tanks at the county’s St. Andrews Road facility for streamlined equipment refueling. The agreement requires the company to carry insurance and accept legal responsibility for operations on county premises. Commissioners discussed whether tanks would remain if the contract were rebid; staff said that removal or ownership terms would be clarified in contract documents.
Interdepartmental operating budget amendments (DPW&T) — Approved: The board approved four interdepartmental operating budget realignments totaling $46,812 for the Department of Public Works and Transportation. Staff explained the transfers move salaries and benefits between divisions (engineering, development review, construction and inspections, recycling and solid waste, and mailroom) and do not increase the department’s net budget.
