Technical Committee approves Nov. minutes and elects new chair and vice chair

The Knoxville Regional TPO Technical Committee opened procedural business on Jan. 14 by approving minutes from the Nov. 12, 2024 meeting and electing officers for the coming term.
The committee approved the Nov. 12 minutes by voice vote; the chair announced the ayes carried the motion. Doug Burke (chairing that portion) reminded members that both chair and vice chair serve one‑year terms with a two‑year consecutive maximum. Nominations for chair and vice chair were called.
Jim Snowden was nominated and approved as chair by voice vote. Tom (Tom Clabo) was nominated and approved as vice chair by voice vote. The committee noted the customary practice of rotating representation between local jurisdictions and regional seats, but no formal bylaw change was required.
No additional formal actions were taken on officer elections during the Jan. 14 meeting.
