Lewis said the result came from shelter and outreach partnerships with police and outreach teams and credited volunteers, sponsors and local partners. She said the prevention program requires recipients to opt into case management as a condition of assistance so staff can provide financial‑literacy and supportive services after stabilization.
ECHO also announced plans to add a family wing and expand services; the group has arranged a neighborhood meeting in January and mailed postcards to a larger radius of neighbors. Lewis asked council members to help distribute informational cards to neighbors and invited the public to attend the meeting and provide feedback.
