Leavenworth City Council voted unanimously on Jan. 14 to approve a set of funding and contracting items intended to support festivals, transportation planning and parking, and to begin feasibility work on a possible municipal campus site.
The council approved a $42,000 lodging-tax partnership agreement with the Washington Autumn Leaf Festival Association to support the festival’s promotional and logistical costs. Council members then approved on-call transportation planning services with Transpo Group (not to exceed $50,000) and a request to increase the city’s aggregate business-card credit limit to five cards at $10,000 each, with a single-card limit of $10,000 and a total aggregate of $50,000, to facilitate operations and travel.
