Magnolia ISD says junior high on track for May delivery; CTE buildings cleared for occupancy

"We're on schedule for approximately a May delivery on this," said the presenter, Mr. Brunner, describing the junior high construction and adding that fine grading, irrigation and sod installation are nearly complete. He showed photos of canopies, corridors and interior finishes and said the overhead mechanical, electrical and plumbing work has been signed off so ceiling tile and finish work can proceed.
Brunner told trustees that both CTE buildings have been signed off by the fire marshal and the city, furniture has been delivered and staff expect to occupy the rooms soon. He said artificial turf base material is being placed at the football stadium and that portion of the work should be completed within about 30 days.
Other items Brunner highlighted included completed casework in art classrooms, science room finishes, competition gym lighting and equipment installation, and the near‑completion of a JROTC building. He described punch‑list work for HVAC and other final items at the West campus HVAC CTE addition and said administrators were planning moves into the new space.
Board members responded with brief praise and questions about timing; one board member noted the intermediate campus no longer appeared on the projects list and said, "It's done." The presenter answered scheduling questions but gave no new cost figures or formal change orders at the meeting.
