Staff said the loan can be used for engineering, administration, service-line investigation, potholing and equipment. The loan carries a 3.25% interest rate; staff said there is potential forgiveness of $190,000 if all funds are used and recommended the board authorize the chairman to sign the loan documents.
A commissioner asked whether the forgiveness depends on using the entire loan; staff replied they expect to use the entire amount and that some equipment already purchased could be reimbursed from the loan. The board approved the loan and authorized the chairman to sign the documents.
