Architectural Review Board and Board of Zoning Appeals report routine reviews, variance denial at Weatherburn subdivision

Giannini said the developer had four signs erected that exceeded the PUD sign approvals; two signs were removed at the exit and the board denied a variance request for two entrance signs after finding the variance criteria in the code were not met. Giannini said the developer later installed a permitted sign.
Council members asked about follow-up and enforcement; Giannini said staff and board members monitor compliance and that city staff (Arnie) notifies the board if approved work has not been completed as approved. Both board chairs and councilors praised city staff support for board operations.
