The Murray City Planning Commission unanimously approved a subdivision amendment Jan. 16 to amend Lot 2 in the Levi's Lot Subdivision, a three-address parcel group at 5058 East, 6110 South, and 6150 South.
Ruth, a planning staff member, presented the staff review and recommended approval with three conditions after a site visit and survey. Staff said the amendment will align an existing fence with the legal property line and concluded the proposal complies with Utah state code, Title 16 (Murray’s subdivision regulations) and the R-18 zone requirements.
The applicant, Anna Boatboat of 59 East 6150 South, told the commission she had reviewed the recommended conditions and could meet them. No public comments were submitted before or during the public-comment period. Following staff and applicant remarks, a commissioner moved to approve the amendment subject to the three staff conditions; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call voice vote with all voting members recorded in the affirmative.
Why it matters: the amendment resolves a fence encroachment by adjusting lot lines rather than requiring fence removal, and it updates the recorded plat to reflect surveyed property lines.
The commission’s approval is conditioned on the three requirements presented by staff; the applicant agreed on the record to meet those conditions. The record shows no objections from neighbors or intervening parties.
