The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved a conditional-use permit that allows Timothy and Sonia Miller to build a 1,200-square-foot accessory garage across Poplar Lane from their primary dwelling in a platted subdivision in the Town of Bass Lake.

County staff said the accessory structure cannot fit on the parcel containing the principal dwelling without violating setbacks and recommended conditions including a deed restriction so the lots may not be sold separately, a prohibition on habitable space or commercial use in the structure, and compliance with town and county driveway permitting. The town board had approved the permit and the committee adopted the staff report’s conditions and findings of fact when it voted to grant the CUP.
