Middletown board approves $5 million NYSERDA grant amendment and extends Twin Towers geothermal contract

After the staff presentation the board voted to approve Financial Memorandum 14D (items 1–10), which included the NYSERDA amendment and contract extension. The motion to approve Financial Memorandum 14D was moved by Mitchell Williams and seconded by Ms. Romero; the board approved the motion by voice vote, recorded as 7-0 in favor.
The board did not provide contract-text detail or a timeline for construction in the meeting record; administration indicated the contract extension covers the project through completion and that the NYSERDA funds will be applied to the Twin Towers geothermal installation.
