CRCSD opens K–12 registration early, sets job fair and posts no-school days

Podcast hosts said preschool registration will open at a later date and that annual verification for current CRCSD families will open April 1 and must be completed to confirm continued enrollment.
The district also announced a job fair on March 13 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the ELSC building, where attendees can learn about openings, participate in on-site interviews and ask about pay, benefits, coaching and other opportunities. The podcast said the Cedar Rapids Education Teachers Union plans to attend the event.
Separately, hosts reminded listeners there was no school that day for a teacher-directed day and no school on Monday, Jan. 20 for a staff professional learning day; Champions (district-sponsored care) will be closed on those days. The podcast included a short human-interest segment about “Mister Tyler,” a longtime district music teacher, and said a feature on him would be shared via district social channels and the newsletter.
