“This change is very big because it means 8 exempt medical or illness related absences can be allowed without requiring a doctor's note,” Joe Larson said on the Future Ready Today podcast. Hosts said the requirement for a doctor’s note on the ninth absence is intended to comply with recent direction from the state of Iowa.
