Board confirms series of administrative appointments starting Jan. 7 and Jan. 21

The Davidson County Board of Education on Jan. 6 approved multiple personnel appointments and contract offers for district administrative positions with staggered start dates in January.

Superintendent Dr. Slate asked the board to approve Kelsey Greer as executive director of student support services on a two-year contract beginning Jan. 7, 2025; the board approved the appointment by voice vote. Slate also requested approval for Maggie Sullivan to become director of finance on a two-year contract beginning Jan. 7, 2025; that appointment was approved by voice vote. The superintendent requested appointment of Karen Sauerbrau as director of human resources (certified employees and teacher support) on a two-year contract beginning Jan. 7; the board approved that request by voice vote.

The board also approved school-level administrative assignments: Steve Reynolds as interim assistant principal at Hasty Elementary on a temporary contract starting Jan. 6; Meredith Morales as assistant principal at Wahlberg Elementary on a two-year contract starting Jan. 21, 2025; and Lori Roberts as assistant principal at North Davidson High School on a two-year contract starting Jan. 21, 2025. Each of these appointments was presented by Dr. Slate and approved by the board by voice vote.
