The packet materials to council included a proposed timeline and the set of 10 interview questions used when the council previously filled a vacancy. Council members agreed the first question should ask applicants to introduce themselves and that the packet’s questions were appropriate for the role. The council motion to approve the application and selection process, with the adjusted timeline, passed without recorded dissent.
No formal candidate names were considered at the meeting. Staff was directed to post the application materials and to provide the council the submitted applications before interviews so council members could select which applicants to interview on the scheduled date.
