Tiffany Summers elected board president; Danielle Wright chosen vice president

Phillips — Karen Cronin; Danielle Wright — Danielle Wright; Wade Hyde — Danielle Wright; Tiffany Summers — Danielle Wright; Brian Smith — Karen Cronin; Karen Cronin — Karen Cronin. With four votes to three, Danielle Wright was declared vice president. The chair announced, "The results are, 4 votes for Danielle Wright. So Danielle Wright will be the new vice president of the Board of Education."
The board followed its announced procedure for officer elections; the newly elected president and vice president are scheduled to assume conducting duties at the board's next regular meeting.
Actions recorded at the meeting show formal nomination and roll-call votes for both offices. The board did not forward any additional conditions with the appointments.
