The council member said the chief already signs similar documents across the state and that the proposed authorization would let him complete storm-shelter paperwork on behalf of the city. The council noted it is coordinating with Tomlin County’s emergency management and other local partners to align decisions. "We're gonna make some decisions and hopefully, we're gonna talk to staff leaders tomorrow," Speaker 2 said, adding the city may need to make announcements Thursday evening depending on weather.
