Committee members said the total project estimate is about $340,000. County staff said the federal grant portion is $192,000 and the county must provide a 20% match, described in the meeting as about $48,000.
Justin, a project staff member participating by phone, described the federal match arrangement: "The grant fees 80%. We paid 20%." Committee discussion noted the agreement had been discussed last year and that procurement has taken longer than expected.
A committee member seconded the motion to advance the agreement to the county board; the committee voted by voice to send the item forward.
The item will appear on the full county board agenda for final action. Staff did not provide a procurement timetable at the committee meeting.
