"We are closing the meeting to discuss these matters — internal audit report because discussing personal information in a public setting could lead to financial losses, reputational damage, or legal action," Jackson said, and added that the board would also discuss "legal matters, personnel appointments and staffing" and collective bargaining agreements.
The roll call vote was conducted after the statement. Board members recorded as voting in the affirmative were Ms. Busy Struthers; Mr. Briggs; Mrs. Brown; Mrs. McCants; Mr. Jango; Dr. Moss; Miss Walker; and Chairman Brandon Jackson. The board stated there were eight votes in the affirmative and adopted the motion to close the meeting. Board members then proceeded to the executive room and staff paused the public recording.
