Suneel said access constraints (narrow neighboring buildings, limited rear access) will be addressed in contractor bids and that scaffolding and staging will be required. Commissioners noted the work as a phased project: initial approval covered the roof; the masonry testing and selective replacement or repointing will proceed according to the submitted plan and lab results.
The commission recorded an affirmative vote on the roof replacement and asked the project team to return with masonry test results and, if necessary, revised proposals for brick replacement to ensure compatibility with the historic facade.
