Mobile City Planning Commission approves multiple subdivisions, tables Lincoln Boulevard resubdivision; sets UDC amendment hearing for March 20

The Mobile City Planning Commission on Jan. 16 approved several subdivision and land-use requests, voted to rezone one parcel from R-1 to B-2, tabled a resubdivision at 429 Lincoln Boulevard to the April meeting to allow the applicant time to pursue a variance, and called a public hearing on proposed amendments to the city's Unified Development Code for March 20, 2025.

The most immediate outcome was approval of four separate subdivision or modification matters and a rezoning request. The commission also held over one application after discussion about required right-of-way dedications and front/side-yard setbacks that would substantially reduce buildable area on a narrow lot.
