Two current Millersville University students outlined tuition, campus life and career-opportunity highlights in a brief recorded presentation.
The students led with cost: “Our tuition is pretty affordable at $3,858 per semester flat rate, which is down from the previous $4,785 per semester,” one student said, citing the per-semester figure and the prior amount.
They said Millersville’s faculty are well credentialed, that the school fields 19 Division II sports teams and that a campus mascot called Scully, a pirate parrot, appears at student events. One student described the campus as “having a beautiful scenery, including a pond that's at the heart of campus.” The speakers also noted the campus’s rural setting and said Millersville is about 15 minutes from Lancaster City.
The students gave counts for student activities and career preparation: “We have over a 170 clubs and organizations” and “a ton of internship opportunities on campus. Some of them are paid,” one student said. They also said Millersville offers merit-based scholarships and other scholarships students can apply for.
The presentation closed with an invitation for viewers who attend Millersville to share their experiences in comments.
The remarks were delivered as an informal student presentation rather than as official university communication; no policy changes, votes or official university announcements were made in the recording.
