Kingsburg — Rodney Roberts took the oath of office and was sworn in as the City of Kingsburg’s new fire chief at the Jan. 15 City Council meeting. City Manager Alex Henderson introduced Roberts and noted his more than 20 years of experience in fire and emergency medical services and prior role as a division chief for the City of Tulare.
Holly Owen and other staff and council members joined Roberts, who was introduced by name and credentials. Roberts thanked staff, his family and those who helped him transition into the role, calling Kingsburg an “amazing town.” He said he is “excited to be here” and “ready to work hard for… the citizens here.” Interim Chief John Banaski and the council also thanked former interim leadership for covering the department during the transition.
No action was required; the oath and ceremonial pinning were part of the presentations section of the meeting.
