Franklin Park council approves resolutions, purchases and appointments for 2025

Council extended the borough’s solid-waste and recycling contract with Waste Management of Pennsylvania Inc. for a one-year period (Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2026) by mutual consent and authorized advertising for bids for disposal of pavement materials with specified option years. The council awarded the Montgomery Road Stormwater Improvement Project to WA Petracas Contracting LLC for $298,982.50 and authorized a Q1 2025 payment of $94,468.25 to Northland Library.
Administrative votes and appointments included adopting a revised 2025 table of organization (salaries effective Jan. 1, 2025), designating official depositories for borough funds, ratifying a municipal expenditure policy (resolution number corrected in the meeting transcript from 897-2010 to 987-2010), designating the borough’s official newspaper, and appointing Patrick Pagano to the Environmental Advisory Council (term through Dec. 31, 2027) and Mac Namura to the Planning Commission (to fill an unexpired term through Dec. 31, 2025). Council also adopted resolutions recognizing the Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 for 2025 (resolution 1380-2025) and appointing fire police for 2025 (resolution 1381-2025).
Council voted to engage Maur Dusall Certified Public Accountants for auditing services for audit years 2024–2026 at stated fees ($25,750 for 2024, $26,800 for 2025 and $27,850 for 2026).
