A nomination was made to elect Richard Hill as council president and to retain the current vice president. Councilmembers moved to vote on the slate together, the motion was seconded and, after brief discussion, the motion carried on a voice and roll-call indication with an approval reported as 5-0.
During the meeting one councilmember noted personal circumstances that could affect his ability to continue serving as vice president and said he would notify the council if his situation changed. Councilmembers expressed appreciation for the service and for the member’s candor.
