The board noted that John Mayer, CEO and president of Special Olympics of Kansas, is scheduled to appear at a future meeting to discuss whether Special Olympics could receive some of the levy funds.
The board arranged for Mr. Mayer to attend a coming meeting and asked staff to hold the item for additional discussion when he presents. No final funding decisions were made at the meeting.
