South Hills bike park design advances; city seeks $1 million LWCF grant to help fund $2 million project

Kelsey Faye, management analyst for the City of Glendora Recreation and Human Services Department, updated the commission on the South Hills Bike Park design, grant status and environmental review timeline.
Faye told commissioners the city contracted Avid Trails for a conceptual design (completed May 2023) and later a schematic design (completed May 2024), and that those designs supported the city’s application to the Office of Grants and Local Services for Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant funding. “The proposed grant award is for $1,000,000 for the project that's expected to cost $2,000,000,” Faye said.
