Monroe County commissioners approved the accounts payable claims docket totaling $12,990,257.27 and payrolls for Dec. 27, 2024 and Jan. 10, 2025 (combined payroll totals reported in the meeting). The approval followed a brief delay while the auditor provided the payroll packet; the motion passed by roll call, 3-0.
During the meeting the board also confirmed many appointments across county boards and advisory committees, including members named to the Alcoholic Beverage Board, Board of Health, Emergency Management Advisory Council, Historic Preservation Board of Review, Human Rights Commission, Plan Commission and others. Terms and end dates were read into the record; the board approved the slate by unanimous vote.
Commissioners encouraged residents to apply for board vacancies, noted upcoming Monroe County CASA training and reminded the public to sign up for the county resident alert system. The board recorded no public opposition to the claims docket or appointments during the meeting.
