The Murray School District Board of Education voted to approve the district’s Teacher Student Success Account (TSSA) framework that schools will use when preparing school land trust and student success plans for the 2025–2026 school year.
Superintendent Leehom told the board the framework preserves four broad priorities the district has used in prior years: provide learning opportunities to help students excel academically and professionally; foster a culture of mutual respect and leadership development; integrate technology to impact student achievement; and ensure responsible stewardship of financial resources.
Leehom said the district retains a consistent 25% of the total TSSA allocation for teacher salary enhancements and distributes the remainder to schools based on prior‑year average daily membership. He added that while TSSA funding has been stable in recent years, separate federal relief funds such as ESSER have expired.
A board member moved to approve the framework and a second was offered; the board then approved the motion by voice vote. No roll‑call tally was recorded in the public transcript. "All in favor of approving the TSSA framework? Any opposed? Motion passes," the chair said.
The board plans to collect school community council minutes and TSSA plans in upcoming March meetings as part of the district’s submission process.
