Washington County staff told the Highway Committee the county's lead-lateral replacement effort continues and that the Village of Kewaskum is complete and has been paid.
Staff said the City of West Bend contacted the county seeking reimbursement for several completed municipal projects from 2024; if West Bend submits its requests this week, staff estimated processing and payment could take two to three weeks. The county is also working with the Village of Slinger, which has identified firms to complete its work, and staff said they have contacted the City of Hartford; Hartford has expressed interest but staff had not yet met to discuss details.
The presenter said county staff will extend the program into additional municipalities as work and reimbursements proceed. No new funding requests were made during the update.
