At about 10:14 p.m., the Taos Municipal Schools Board moved to exit an executive session that began at 8:20 p.m., after receiving updates from the district auditor and board counsel.
The board chair reported the secretary, Secretary Trudeau, had left the executive session at about 9:30 p.m. The board chair said the auditor provided an update regarding a special audit and that board counsel updated the board on the second agenda matter. The chair then asked whether the board wished to take any action arising from that discussion; no board member proposed action.
The motion to exit executive session was made, seconded by Board Member King, and the board polled members before reopening the public meeting (recorded affirmative responses included Board Member Kuntjac, Board Member King, Vice President Hussain and the presiding officer). After polling members and hearing no motion for action, the board proceeded to the next open-agenda item.
The board did not take any formal action or vote on substantive matters while in executive session, and the chair explicitly indicated no action would be taken arising from the closed discussion.
