Committee approves sending Elm Street school easement acceptances to full council

Staff said the work will include resurfacing Elm Street between Cross and Temple streets, widening in places, adding bus stops and cutting sidewalks in front of Elm Street School. The easements were described as necessary to complete those elements of the project.
Committee members said they would ensure supplemental pages that were omitted from the packet are uploaded for the full council to review. A member asked whether timing was on track; staff said work is in a solicitation period and the goal is project completion by the end of the year.
The committee motion to forward the measure to the full council carried with unanimous "aye" votes in committee.
