Timeline and permits Lewis said final design drawings are nearing completion and permitting work is underway; the district’s schedule targets demolition in February with construction between February and July and project closeout in July–August, subject to weather and permitting. He warned that even with best efforts, teams may need to play the coming season at off‑site fields: "Our teams will have to play on off‑site fields, but I'll be honest with you, the off‑site fields will be better than our current fields."
Funding and donor support The board acknowledged a major donation from the Fitzgibbons family, approved a donor agreement and expressed thanks. The administration said one additional donor agreement is expected to be signed and that donor funds will be used according to the donor agreements and project budget. The district also confirmed the field will be named in honor of Mr. Henke.
Votes and construction notes The board approved two change orders for the Sycamore High renovation (GMP#2 and GMP#5) and the donor agreement for the baseball/softball project. Administration emphasized the need to follow permitting and procurement rules before site work begins.
Ending Administrators will continue to coordinate donor payments and permitting and will report timing changes to the board. The board indicated it would plan a community or alumni event if the teams are unable to play on the renovated field in the immediate season after construction.
