SCOTTSBURG, Ind. — The Scottsburg City Board of Public Works and Safety on Jan. 15 approved a series of routine municipal actions including a required local match for a state Community Crossings grant, an updated indigent-care agreement with Norton Scott, two refunds for Mid America Science Park rentals and a temporary waiver of January utility late fees after mail delays left hundreds of customers without bills.

The board’s actions matter because they authorize spending or signoff that moves previously planned projects and administrative fixes forward and provide immediate relief to residents who did not receive utility bills on time.
