Kendra Perry presented results from District 25’s InsightX staff satisfaction and engagement survey at the Jan. 14 meeting. The district administered the anonymous survey in September and closed it Oct. 28; 436 staff responded.
Perry said the survey uses multiple dimensions to measure climate and that InsightX considers ratings above 4 on a 5‑point scale to be positive. She reported the district’s overall satisfaction and engagement was 80.05%, compared with an educational average of about 64% for InsightX partner districts. On the 15 survey dimensions, all district averages were above 4.0; the lowest dimension still averaged 4.20.
Perry noted additional DEI‑focused dimensions included by the district, which scored a combined average of about 4.46 out of 5. She said the InsightX portal allows building leaders to review their individual data; consultants provided a “train the trainer” session at Ad Council and building teams will develop action plans tailored to local results. "Staff will be the ones who collaboratively determine what action steps we take to continuously improve the work environment," Perry said.
Board members asked about participation rates and historical comparisons; Perry said participation this year was lower than the prior year (about 436 vs. 480) and estimated overall participation near 50%. She said principals and leadership teams will continue to review results, focus on both top‑performing dimensions to sustain strengths and lower‑scoring dimensions to target improvements.
Ending: The district will provide building leaders with the data portal, consultants and a framework for action planning; staff‑level action plans and follow‑up will occur at the school level.
