Minutes show the committee had previously heard the denial at its Dec. 9, 2024 meeting and that Bowden’s employer had attended earlier and said they would try to make the next date. Committee members discussed being consistent in affording an applicant one more opportunity to appear; one member characterized the action as “one more chance” and moved to hold the item until Jan. 27. The motion passed and the item will return to committee at the next meeting.
No new formal evidence was presented at the Jan. 13 hearing; staff noted that Bowden had received notice of the hearing. The committee discussed that if Bowden again failed to appear, the committee would proceed to consider denial.
