Utility upsizing — Willow Run: The council authorized a utility upsizing agreement with MI Homes of Orlando LLC for a Willow Run subdivision project. MI Homes will construct larger mains (16-inch water main and 16-inch sanitary force main) than the minimum needed to serve their development so the city will have mains sized for future growth. The agreement reimburses MI Homes for the materials-only cost difference between the smaller mains the developer needs and the larger mains the city requires; staff referenced an engineer’s opinion of probable cost included in exhibit C of the packet. Motion to approve the agreement passed unanimously.
