Monroeville council approves conditional-use permit, accepts resignation and makes several appointments; advertises two ordinances

The Monroeville council on Jan. 14 approved a conditional-use permit for a therapeutic massage business at 4301 Northern Pike, accepted the resignation of a Planning Commission member, appointed officials to three municipal authorities and authorized advertisement of two proposed ordinances, the council announced at the meeting.

Those actions follow relatively brief discussion during the regular council meeting, which included roll-call votes on each item. The votes will allow the council to publish proposed ordinances for public consideration and fill several board vacancies ahead of upcoming municipal schedules and elections.

The council authorized advertising an ordinance concerning benefits for Monroeville nonunion exempt and nonexempt employees (motion to advertise; roll call passed).
