Provo School Board swears in members, elects Jennifer Partridge president and Gina Hales vice president

The Provo City School District Board of Education administered the oath of office to new and reelected members and then unanimously elected board leadership at its regular meeting at district headquarters in Provo.
Board members and district leaders stood and recited the oath of office before the board moved on to leadership nominations. Following the oath, the board opened nominations for president and vice president.
Jennifer Partridge was nominated and approved as board president by unanimous voice vote after a motion to nominate her and a second. The board then nominated Gina Hales for vice president; that nomination also passed unanimously.
Devin Daley, the district business administrator, ran the nominations process at the chair’s request. After the elections the new president, Jennifer Partridge, assumed the meeting leadership.
The swearing-in and leadership transitions were procedural and were followed by recognitions and regular business items on the agenda.
Board members present at the meeting included Jennifer Partridge, Lisa Boyce, Terry McCabe, Gina Hales, Meg Van Wagonen, Emily Harrison and Melanie Hall. Superintendent Wendy Dow and business administrator Devin Daley were also on the dais.
