The Orinda Planning Commission completed its annual reorganization at the Jan. 14 meeting, electing Commissioner Hubner as chair and Commissioner Armstrong as vice chair for 2025.
Vice Chair presided over the opening of the reorganization. Nominations were opened for chair; a motion nominated Commissioner Hubner, the nominations were seconded, and the commission moved to close nominations. A roll-call vote confirmed Hubner as chair. Later the commission opened nominations for vice chair, nominated Commissioner Armstrong, closed nominations by motion and confirmed Armstrong by roll call. Both elections passed unanimously.
Earlier in the meeting the commission approved the agenda and adopted the consent calendar (minutes of Dec. 10, 2024) in single motions; both motions carried unanimously. The consent calendar action adopted staff recommendations for items not removed for discussion.
The senior administrative assistant called roll for the elections and the commission recorded the unanimous tallies. No formal objections, abstentions or recusals were recorded during the reorganization sequence.
The commission also noted an intention to present a certificate of recognition to former Commissioner Montner at a future hearing.
