The Florence City Planning Commission approved a request to zone two parcels at 1001 Turnbridge Place and 3740 Westlake Drive RG-2 pending annexation, a designation planning staff said matches the surrounding Greenscape neighborhood.
Miss Lane told commissioners the parcels are across the street from property already in the city and part of an older subdivision called Greenscape. She said existing houses in the subdivision have large footprints and small setbacks, and staff proposed applying averaged setbacks that reflect the neighborhood character so the parcels could be built in a manner consistent with adjacent homes.
No speakers registered opposition at the public hearing. The commission moved and seconded approval and the vote carried.
