Executive committee approves consent agenda; mayors, commissioners give jurisdictional updates

Other administrative items and jurisdictional updates: - PHB member applications: County staff opened an application window for PHB seats, including a lived-experience seat and a rural elected seat; applications are due Jan. 31 and PHB members were asked to volunteer to help vet candidates by Jan. 27. - City of Eugene: Mayor Lucy Vinis reported a Jan. 27 Eugene City Council agenda that will include property tax exemption renewals and new LRPD (Low-Income Rental Property) requests affecting about 99 units and proposals that could support creation of about 192 new affordable housing units; the Eugene–Springfield HOME Consortium will make final funding decisions for certain HOME and HOME-ARP (American Rescue Plan) projects. - Springfield: Mayor Chris Van Gordon noted City Hall swore in new councilors, the state of the city event on Jan. 30 and ongoing HOME RFP work with the consortium. - Lane County staffing: Commissioner Carr announced the county has hired a county counsel (Rob Bowette expected to start mid-February, per the announcement) to join the previously filled county administrator role.
Ending: the chair reminded members to submit nominations for chair/vice chair by the end of January, encouraged participation in PHB recruitment and the county strategic-planning survey (deadline Jan. 31), and adjourned the meeting.
