The City of Albany Commission on Human Rights voted Thursday to adopt its December meeting minutes and to approve the commission's 2024 annual report with one revision adding that the commission assisted with a Toys for Tots program.
The roll call was taken after the meeting was called to order. Vice Chair John Wilkins moved to adopt the December minutes; Commissioner Rosie Love seconded the motion, and the chair announced the motion carried after an affirmative voice vote.
Later in the meeting the commission considered the draft 2024 annual report. A motion to adopt the 2024 City of Albany Commission on Human Rights Annual Report with one revision (adding the Toys for Tots assistance) was made by Commissioner Alexander; the motion received no recorded roll-call tallies in the transcript and was approved after a voice vote.
The commission's secretary was not present for the roll call. The adopted annual report was described in the meeting as a draft that had been circulated previously and that commission members would add one minor item before finalization.
The actions formalize the commission's annual record for 2024 and permit staff to proceed with the updated document, per the chair's direction.
