The measures move forward changes the administration said are needed to keep projects on schedule and to fund the city’s wastewater system. Council also suspended rules to allow immediate enactment on several ordinances; multiple rezoning applications were read for the record and will return for later votes.
The council voted 7-0 to authorize a maintenance agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation to allow work related to state-owned roadways to proceed. Council members said the agreement was requested by ODOT so the agency could keep its public-bid schedule. The motion to pass the resolution was seconded by Mister Grumley.
